Based on reported figures and our own proprietary research, we estimate that total U.S. & Canada slot machine sales decreased -4% y/y to ~22,600 total games sold in 2Q24. Total sales were impacted by a decline from replacement shipments which was partially offset by an increase in expansionary sales; we estimate replacement sales decreased -8% y/y and expansionary sales were up +18% y/y. This was +13% above pre-COVID 2Q19 levels; replacement sales were +3% above 2Q19 figures while expansionary sales were +106% above 2Q19. 1H24 pre-COVID growth de-accelerated marginally to +7% from the +8% observed in CY23.
