Based on reported figures and our own proprietary research, we estimate that total U.S. & Canada slot machine sales increased +51% y/y to ~23,500 total games sold in 3Q22. Both replacement sales and expansionary sales displayed growth versus the prior year; we estimate replacement sales increased +46% y/y while expansionary sales increased +76% y/y. This brings us +8% above 3Q19 pre-COVID levels, which was the first period of sales surpassing CY19 levels; replacement sales were +8% above 3Q figures in CY19 while expansionary sales were +4% above 3Q19.
