This quarter, we looked at Africa, with a specific focus on the eight countries there with major app stores that are trackable by Sensor Tower. In order of population, those countries are Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Algeria, Angola, Ghana, Madagascar, and Tunisia. These countries have been substantially outpacing the global market in terms of downloads; between 2017-2023, total downloads grew at a +23.2% CAGR compared to +10.9% globally.
